Build it for the love, not the money!

December 1, 2008

It seems like more and more I come across would-be entrepreneurs and startup founders that have a bunch of ideas that could potentially make a lot of money. Everyone has an idea… and they will all make a lot of money… rinse, repeat… rinse, repeat.

Even more entrepreneurs seem to have a thousand different ideas and have a hard time picking ONE to pursue and execute on.

So here is my super special, post start-up happy hour, late night tip of the… late night…

Build a solution to a problem the YOU have. Solve the problem the way YOU want to solve it and in way that makes YOU want to keep using it, then sell it to the people who are of your same mindset.

Stop trying to find the silver bullet. Stop trying to be everything to everyone.
