Ideas Are Worth Twenty Dollars - Revisited

October 6, 2008

It’s been said many times that ideas without execution are worthless… or worth $20. Grego Moreno even came up with a little formula to explain it, and Alex over at the Texas Startup Blog commented on it a couple times.

I’m pretty familiar with this concept myself, as I have many ideas all the time but rarely execute on any of them.

After reading Alex’s posts on the subject, I was inspired to purchase the domain TwentyDollarIdeas.com with the thought of posting all my ideas there that I had no interest/ability in pursuing. True to form, I didn’t really execute on that (I think there is a lesson in here somewhere…).

A couple months ago, however, I came across Slinkset and thought it would be a good way to implement a vision for the site. So, I created the new site with Slinkset and threw up my first idea (iFundedThat.com) and now YOU can add your own ideas and connect with people who share your vision.

If you DO decide to post an idea, my advice is give everyone as much detail as you can so you can attract the best people to help you out. Then focus on building it faster and more efficient than anyone else!
